Former Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday took a dig at Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for what he called his blatant lies, running a spurious liquor racket in an organized manner, skirting a Central probe and spreading falsehoods about the Data Center project.

He told the media here that YSRCP will launch a mass movement against the privatization of medical colleges across the State. He alleted that Naidu has been making false claims about the Google Data Center and attempting to hijack credit, even though the YSRCP had sown the seeds for the project. He is at his old game again, just as he took credit for Hyderabad’s Cyber Towers built in Madhapur during mid-1990s.

Reddy alleged that the liquor racket is being run by Naidu’s syndicate, with TDP members exposed in several places for manufacturing, supplying, and selling spurious liquor. At every stage, from production to sale, his people are involved. His propaganda machinery has been spinning stories and obtaining official leaks. One in every four liquor bottles sold in the State is fake.

He stated that while YSRCP leaders are being harassed and blamed, no action is taken against ruling party members involved in such cases. The issue comes to light only when there are disputes over sharing the spoils.

The YSRCP chief asserted that the entire scam can be exposed only if a Central agency conducts a probe. “How did the Janardhan Rao video surface, and from where are the chat leaks originating?” he questioned. “Jayachandra Reddy, who was nominated by the TDP, mentioned distilleries in South Africa in his affidavit. Naidu should answer my pointed questions instead of diverting public attention by blaming the opposition.”

Criticizing Naidu’s false claims, Reddy said, “he is boasting about bringing Google's $15 billion investment to Vizag and replaying the same script as with Hyderabad’s Cyber Towers, which were actually the effort of N. Janardhan Reddy. the Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh. Unlike his claims, Hyderabad developed during YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s tenure, and progress continued thereafter. Naidu has always been known for hijacking credit rather than creating it.”
