INS commissioning a proud moment: HSL

The recent commissioning of INS Nistar built by Visakhapatnam-based Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) is a major leap for India's indigenous shipbuilding mission.
"It is a price milestone for HSL and Viksit Bharat," the company stated. INS Nistar, the first-of-class advanced DP II Diving Support Vessel was commissioned on July 18 July at Naval Jetty, marking a major leap in India’s indigenous shipbuilding capability.
Following the commissioning, Sanjay Seth, Raksha Rajya Mantri*, visited HSL and lauded the dedication of HSL Employees and the decisive leadership of Cmde Hemant Khatri, CMD, HSL, in transforming the shipyard to take on next-generation vessel construction.
“You all are brand ambassadors of Viksit Bharat,” he remarked, acknowledging HSL’s vital role in building a stronger, self-reliant India. As the 4th largest economy, India continues its rise—and organizations like HSL are driving this progress through excellence in defence and maritime engineering, said the Minister.
