Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday launched the long-awaited Hop-On Hop-Off (HOHO) double decker buses here on Friday.
The launch of the programme at RK Beach was marked by a noble gesture by Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) with a contribution of Rs.4 crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative."This is our contribution to promote sustainable tourism in Visakhapatnam," a senior port official said.
"With this noble contribution, VPA reaffirms its commitment to enriching the city's tourism infrastructure," he said. VPA has developed a world-class tourism terminal in the city with funding from the Centre and has plans to promote cruise tourism in a big way with the support of the State Government.
