HCG Cancer Centre hosts event in Visakhapatnam

Hyderabad: HCG Cancer Centre held the Pink Sakhi Saree Walk 2026 to mark International Women’s Day. The event was held on Beach Road in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It focused on breast and cervical cancer screening awareness. Nearly 4,800 women participated in the walk, which was organized in association with the Rohit Memorial Trust.

The initiative, themed ‘Walk. Talk. Learn.’, provided on-the-spot consultations and registration for preventive services. HCG Cancer Centre confirmed that women identified during the drive will receive diagnostic guidance and follow-up support. Participants accessed health benefits, including: Mammograms and Pap smears, Consultations with cancer specialists, Blood pressure and blood sugar checks. Dr. Prasad I.P.CH, Chief Operating Officer, HCG Vizag, said, “At HCG, we believe that awareness initiatives must translate into meaningful action."
