Amaravati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said the coalition government is focusing on a welfare-oriented approach and explained how Andhra Pradesh has emerged as an ideal destination for investments. Speaking at a series of meetings, he elaborated how the government has won the confidence of the investors after laying emphasis on speed of doing business. He alleged that during the YSRCP regime, investors developed a cold feet to set up projects in Andhra Pradesh.

During his visit, Naidu took part in pension distribution in Nellore district and visited Ontimitta and presented silk clothes and talambas to the Sitarams on the occasion of their marriage mahotsav. After the coalition government came to power, the largest direct cash transfer to the poor was made through the NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme. Within 22 months, the government provided Rs60,437 crore to the poor in the form of pensions. In the month of April, it has released Rs2,724 crores to 62.60 lakh pensioners across the State. The government disbursed pension to the tune of Rs128 crore to 2.91 lakh people in Nellore district.
