Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said that both the administration and industrialists have collective responsibility to build a right platform for future generations.
Naidu was speaking at a function organised by
the Institute of Directors, London which presented Distinguished Fellowship 2025 Award to Nara Bhuvaneswari, his wife, in recognition of her services in social issues. She also received Golden Peacock Award for Excellence in corporate governance for Heritage Foods.
Delivering key note address on this occasion, Chief Minister Naidu expressing happiness over Bhuvaneswari receiving two awards stated that UK and India have strong bilateral relations. He said the agreement between the two countries in July paved way for trade cooperation between two countries.
Naidu said that the vision of government as well as different organisations should be changed according to global demands and opined that prior planning is essential to face the challenges posed by emerging technology.
As Artificial Intelligence is playing a key role, Andhra Pradesh is also planning accordingly.
Google is going to set up AI data centre hub in Visakhapatnam which will lead to innovation, research and skill development.
The Chief Minister observed that technology should benefit people by improving their living standards. Citing the example of recent Montha cyclone, the Chief Minister pointed out that with technology-driven planning and real time monitoring, the State Government is able to prevent less of life and property during the cyclone. He stressed the need of speed of doing business and as a result Andhra Pradesh attracted huge investments in one year period. He said Amaravati will be developed as blue and green city. Stating that climate change is biggest challenge for the world, he said that all countries should come together to protect climate and to protect the interests of future generations.
The Chief Minister congratulated those who received awards including Nara Bhuvaneswari, Dr Krishnaprasad Chigurupati, Prof Peter Bonfield and Harshbina Jhaveri.
