The Fusion AI Summit the first of it's kind here for two days witnessed soul-searching deliberations here on how to turn AI potential into real-world action and promote decentralised intelligence and startup-driven innovation.
In an informal chat with Bizz Buzz, Sreedhar Kosaraju, Chairman, Andhra Pradesh Digital Technology Industry (APDTI) Network, said this is first summit of its kind with over 1,000 participants from various new age tech domains. He said DeepTech Naipunya Foundation (non-profit) with the support of local industrirs played a key role for success of the summit, adding the initiative will help make AP's
developing deeptech ecosystem vibrant.
Kosaraju said: "The Fusion AI Summit isn’t just about ideas—it’s about
actionable collaborations. From Vizag’s smart city aspirations to India’s AI leadership, our collective resolve will turn vision into reality.”
Distinguished leaders from government, industry and academia underscored the imperative of ethical AI, education and collaborative ecosystems to harness technology for societal and
economic progress.
Leadership perspectives on AI’s transformative potential were discussed indepth.
The summit’s opening session featured visionary addresses by eminent dignitaries, who
highlighted AI’s role in shaping a sustainable and inclusive future: MP M. Sribharat stressed the tangible impact of AI in public infrastructure and healthcare.
He championed ethical AI frameworks for hospitals and universities alongside smart city innovations like adaptive traffic control and predictive road maintenance.
Visakha North MLA P. Vishnu Kumar Raju shared his personal journey to illustrate the transformative power of education. Reaffirming his commitment to Vizag’s IT growth, he highlighted past achievements in developing Ruhsikonda as an IT hub and outlined plans to resolve
land allocation challenges, ensuring the city becomes a magnet for global investments. Center Head, Infosys, Visakhapatnam, N. Suresh urged students to transcend theoretical learning and apply AI tools like LLMs to real-world scenarios—from supply chain optimisation to sports analytics.
He advocated industry-aligned curricula and sustainable planning to accommodate Vizag’s projected IT job surge without compromising its environmental legacy.
Keynote by Shailesh Kumar, Chief Data Scientist, Jio, explored strategies for building AI-first enterprises, emphasising transformation and competitive advantage.
Experts from healthcare, fintech and legal sectors debated AI’s role in
driving efficiency, with calls for regulatory sandboxes to foster innovation.
Mohan B V from Bosch outlined the next frontier—distributed intelligence—
as a paradigm shift for privacy and scalability.
Vivek Sridhar, CTO for Startups, Microsoft and Bala Prasad Peddigari, CIO, TCS highlighted on AI development and disruptive strategies for SMEs, while the AI Innovation Awards celebrated groundbreaking startups.
During the valedictory, many experts reinforced the summit’s mission to bridge policy, industry, and academia. Speakers unanimously endorsed public-private partnerships to scale AI
solutions, with a focus on skilling, ethical governance, and sustainable urban development.
