Hyderabad: ETO Motors, a Hyderabad-based electric mobility company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with APCRDA to introduce electric 3 wheelers fully run by women pilots to increase the connectivity in the capital region of Andhra Pradesh.

As part of Andhra Pradesh’s renewed vision to develop Amaravati as a model sustainable capital, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu recently flagged off ETO Motors’ Electric 3-Wheelers at APCRDA Headquarters in Amaravati and announced a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening infrastructure and connectivity across the capital region.

The Chief Minister commended the company for its commitment to women empowerment and inclusive development, highlighting that all electric three-wheelers in the fleet are operated by women drivers who have been trained, certified, and deployed in collaboration with APCRDA.“These women drivers will ferry passengers from nearby villages to the capital region, becoming financially independent and contributing to a cleaner, greener Amaravati,” the Chief Minister said.

Rajeev YSR, Chief Marketing Officer, ETO Motors, said:“With a unified ticketing system, passengers can now seamlessly travel across three-wheelers, buses, and cars for first-mile, middle-mile, and last-mile connectivity. We are deploying a fully electric fleet that connects the Capital Region quadrangle Gannavaram Airport, Vijayawada, Amaravati, and Guntur through clean and sustainable transportation.”

ETO Motors’ multimodal approach will integrate electric three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and shuttle buses, ensuring affordable, efficient, and non-polluting public mobility. In the first phase, the company plans to deploy 300 electric three-wheelers, 100 electric cars, and 20 electric shuttle buses. The program is designed not only to enhance last-mile connectivity but also to create employment opportunities and micro-entrepreneurship for women and marginalised communities.

ETO Motors expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister, Minister for MA&UD P Narayana, and Kannababu, Commissioner, APCRDA, for their visionary guidance and support in enabling the project.
