CRDA to float SPV, moots health city in Amaravati

Amaravati: The 52 Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) meeting led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has decided to set up a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for development of greenfield airport, erecting statue of NT Rama Rao, smart industries, iconic bridge, sports city, riverfront development, ropeway and inner ring road in the capital city.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to bring biodesign projects also in SPV purview to develop a health city in Amaravati capital. He said that experts of seven countries are ready to become part of a bio-design project. The CRDA also approved the tenders for providing infrastructure at Government buildings complex in Amaravati. As part of the development roads to be developed at a stretch of 53.68 km connecting government complexes.
The CRDA meeting approved the issuing of a notification for urban designs and architectural guidelines in the capital region to make the city as a beautiful capital.The CRDA also approved for allotment of lands for agencies which came forward to develop convention centres in Amaravati.
The Chief Minister directed the officials that the convention centres should be developed with global standards. When the officials informed the Chief Minister about the necessity of land acquisition for development as per master plan, the Chief Minister advised them to convince the farmers at first and not to inconvenience them. The Chief Minister stressed the need for developing the islands in Krishna river as tourism sports to attract tourists in a big way.
