CM Naidu optimistic on further improving growth momentum in AP

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister on Monday said the State is performing exceedingly well in fulfilling the growth momentum and adhering to the parameters to accelerate the percentage of increase in production in agriculture, manufacturing, aquaculture, livestood, dairy and other vital sectors.
Strating that the State is very clear in its goal towards making it No. 1 as per the Swarnandhra Vision-2047, he told the media that the GST growth rate during the financial year is more than the national average. He said the tourist footfall and air passengers have also gone up marginally over the previous year. Naidu said even a nominal increase in growth rate will raise the gross revenue of the State to a great extent and asked the people's representatives and the official machinery to work hard towards achieving the short term and long term goals finalised at various fora.
He said during the general elections, many had doubts whether we could revive the economy after everything was destroyed due to 'ill-conceived' policies of the erstwhile regime. The State achieved in H1 a GVA of Rs2.07 lakh crore with a growth rate of 34.36 per cent in agriculture, Rs1.79 lakh crore GVA in industry with a growth rate of 44.9 per cent. Similarly, the services sector saw GVA of Rs.3.17 lakh crore with a 44.66 per cent. Against targeted GSDP of Rs16.65 lakh crore, In Q3 and Q4(H2), the State is projected to achieve a GVA of Rs11.07 lakh crore with a growth rate of 59.36 per cent.
