Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu appreciating the Mustabu programme introduced in Parvatipuram Manyam district to maintain personal hygiene among school going tribal students, opined that such innovative ideas will leave a huge impact on people.
Congratulating District Collector Prabhakar Reddy for coming up with the innovative idea of Mustabu during second day of Collectors Conference at Secretariat on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that he was very much impressed when the students themselves stated that they are very happy with the Mustabu programme and the number of sick students also came down after introducing the programme with maintenance of personal hygiene.
The Chief Minister advised the collectors to come up with innovative ideas using technology for implementing best practices and to get results. He directed the district collectors to implement the Mustabu programme in their respective districts as it will leave a huge impact on personal hygiene of people. He said if the programme was implemented in all educational institutions upto to 12th class across the state over 79 lakh students will get benefit and at the same time the students will insist on their parents to maintain personal hygiene which influence over two crore people in the state. Such innovative ideas with no financial commitment will leave a huge impact on society and help to improve the health of people, he added.
