CITU's poser to BJP for public debate on VSP
Visakhapatnam: CITU has strongly strongly condemned the comments made by BJP State president PVS Madhav on Visakhapatnam Steel Plant during the unveiling of Vajpayee's statue. CITU said on Sunday that it is ready for an open debate on the issue and challenged Madhav to be ready to discuss VSP issue openly in the presence of the media.Is BJP State president Madhav ready for a public debate? He said CITU is opposed to false propaganda that a package of Rs11,440 crore has been given and the 3rd blast furnace has been restarted, thereby stopping the privatization of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. "This is only a propaganda to say that privatization is not taking place. After starting production of the 3rd blast furnace in 2025, it incurred losses of about Rs 1,000 crore.
He said "NDA Government the Centre with the support of the State Government has not only privatized the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, but also increased the number of serious accidents by not repairing the machines.
