At the CII Partnership Summit, CM Chandrababu Naidu unveiled his vision to transform Andhra Pradesh into a USD 2.4 trillion economy by 2047, highlighting global collaboration, youth-driven growth, renewable energy, and major investment opportunities across the state.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said "my ambitious vision regarding AP is to turn the economy towards USD 2.4 trillion by 2047."

Speaking at the valedictory session of the 30th CII Partnership Summit here on Saturday evening, he said that “India is unstoppable. We will be the No. 1 economy by 2047, and my ambitious vision regarding AP is to turn the economy to USD 2.4 trillion by 2047 and per capita income to USD 42,000, towards Swarna Andhra.”

Amidst a global workforce crisis, India’s young workforce is a silver lining and will reap advantage for the next 20-30 years, according to Naidu.

Enthused at the closure of the summit, he said that the platform has resulted in cultural exchange, which is crucial for global harmony.

The summit has been strengthened by the exchange of ideas and cross learning opportunities on business and social issues, and by the participation of 30 Ministers from different countries; 67+ sessions; 3,000 delegates; more than 650 overseas delegates; 60 countries; 700 B2B sessions and several MoUs, highlighted the Chief Minister.

Todd McClay, Minister for Trade and Investment, Agriculture and Forestry and Associate Minister for Foreign Affairs New Zealand, said that it is his sixth visit to India, because of great opportunities. Both governments are working on highly effective Free Trade Agreements.

“We are working for solutions to navigate current global trade challenges, and I will be back many more times,” he added.

In his address, Jodi McKay, Director, Australia-India CEO, Forum Business Council of Australia, while appreciating the Government of Andhra Pradesh and CII for the energetic partnership summit, said, that the energy demonstrated by Andhra Pradesh in moving forward economically has been inspiring.

“We are an MoU partner with CII, and I would like to thank you for the friendship and the commitment that you give us as a partner. This is important because our two Governments are currently engaged in negotiating the second stage of our FTA, and that is only possible when you have businesses working together,” she added.

Dr Rodney Riviere, Cluster Coordinator-Private Sector Development - Skilling and TVET GIZ, Germany, mentioned that “GIZ has partnered with Andhra Pradesh in advancing renewable energy and will continue to deepen this collaboration.

He highlighted ongoing projects like agroecology aimed at reducing the carbon impact of rice farmers and the 500 GW target of renewable energy for which Andhra Pradesh is a major contributor and we are helping the state to reach its ambition targets. We have been here to create investment platforms for renewable energy to take forward the initiatives that the German and Indian Governments have launched

Dr h.c. Edith N. Nordmann, LL.M, Managing Partner, ACG International and Chairman, Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce and Trade (NICCT) highlighted that Andhra Pradesh is positioning itself at the forefront of India’s next phase of industrial and technological growth.

“I am inspired by the state that is ready to create business models as per multiple business stakeholders, so India and the Netherlands can definitely do a lot of business together,” he added.

Richard Rossow, Senior Adviser & Chair, India & Emerging Asia Economics Center for Strategic & International Studies, USA expressed his hope that the city of Visakhapatnam blossoms into a hub of economic activities, on the lines of the other cities in Andhra Pradesh.

Rajiv Memani, President, CII and Chairman & CEO, EY, while giving the vote of thanks, appreciated Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for showcasing India and the state in the most spectacular way. He said that it has been a great experience for all of us present here. He mentioned that the entire curation of the policies by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the three global megatrends, including Geoeconomics and Geopolitics, AI and Technology, and Sustainability and Energy Transition, has been very appropriate and far-sighted, which will help the state accelerate and benefit India at large in the various sectors.

Suchitra Ella, Vice President, CII, was also present during the valedictory session.

Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, CII, welcomed all dignitaries for the session and highlighted that the two-day event has been a beacon of collaboration across businesses under the leadership of Naidu.

He noted that the summit showcased impactful Business-to-Government; Government-to-Government, Business-to-Business partnerships in sectors such as health, education, among others.

He appreciated and imparted gratitude to the Government of Andhra Pradesh for laying out the red carpet for global partners, Indian as well as international businesses, and other stakeholders for enabling India to leverage the technological partnerships for the future.
