Andhra Pradesh Government on Tuesday said the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has sanctioned capital support under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) for Syrma SGS’s multi-layer PCB manufacturing project in Naidupeta in Tirupati district.

The approval accelerates the commissioning of a nationally significant facility that will anchor advanced PCB and materials manufacturing in India. With the Central subsidy now approved, Syrma Strategic Electronics’ ₹765 crore ECMS-backed PCB investment moves into execution, complementing Andhra Pradesh’s previously cleared incentive framework and policy enablers to fast-track domestic value addition in electronics. The facility will expand capacity in multi-layer and HDI/flex PCBs and integrate upstream materials such as copper clad laminates, supporting automotive, renewable energy, telecom, and defence supply chains. AP Cabinet held recently under the chairmanship of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu approved the project at Naidupeta In September,

The Cabinet had cleared a comprehensive ₹856 crore incentive package for Syrma SGS’s PCB complex, including 12.56 acres at 75% subsidised land cost in the Naidupeta industrial area, strategically located near Chennai’s electronics hub to leverage logistics and vendor ecosystems. The support under the Andhra Pradesh’s Electronics Components Manufacturing Policy (4.0) 2025–30 is designed to catalyse pioneering component investments through capital subsidies, power support, and tax-linked enablers.

“On behalf of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, heartfelt thanks to the Union Government and MeitY for swiftly sanctioning capital support to Syrma under ECMS,” said Nara Lokesh, Minister for IT, Electronics and HRD. “This timely approval, combined with our State’s Electronics Components Manufacturing Policy, gives Syrma a world-class launchpad in Naidupeta to build India’s largest PCB and CCL ecosystem, deepen domestic value addition, and create high-quality jobs. Andhra Pradesh is committed to partnering closely with the Centre and industry to make India a global hub for advanced electronics components.”

An official said the State incentives of ₹856-crore package approved by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, including 75% land cost subsidy for 12.56 acres at Naidupeta and operational enablers for scale-up is set to provide jobs to many and ensure economic properity in the region. The spans multi-layer and HDI/flex PCB manufacturing with integrated CCL capabilities to reduce import dependence and support priority sectors. The policy unveiled by the State to bring investments into electronics components manufacturing offers early-bird capital subsidy matching of Central ECMS disbursements, alongside electricity duty exemption, tax reimbursements, and recruitment assistance to accelerate commissioning.
