BirlaNu to build Rs 127-cr cement board plant in Nellore
The first facility of its kind in Andhra Pradesh will create 600 jobs, anchor future expansion into pipes, fittings, and construction chemicals

Nellore: BirlaNu- a part of the multi-billion-dollar CKA Birla Group and a leading brand in roofs, walls, pipes, construction chemicals, putty and flooring solutions- has announced the establishment of a new Fibre Cement Board Plant in the Nellore district.
In Phase-1, BirlaNu will invest approximately Rs127 crore to set up a large-scale Fibre Cement Board unit, the first of its kind in Andhra Pradesh, creating nearly 600 direct and indirect employment opportunities for skilled and semi-skilled talent in the region. The plant will meet increasing demand within the state and serve as a strategic base for regional and export markets.
In Phase-2, BirlaNu plans to expand the site with additional units for PVC Pipes & Fittings and Construction Chemicals, deepening the company’s integrated manufacturing capabilities in Andhra Pradesh.
The Greenfield project is expected to be a key milestone in BirlaNu’s long-term expansion strategy and reflects the company’s confidence in AP’s strong industrial ecosystem and infrastructure-led growth outlook.
Designed as a state-of-the-art facility built on advanced manufacturing technologies and sustainable production practices, the unit will play a pivotal role in accelerating regional economic development.
