Arrangements On To Make Amaravati Work Relaunch By PM A Big Event

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to make the relaunching of Amaravati Capital Development Project (ACDP) by Prime Minister Narendra Modi a high-profile event even as official confirmation on the date from the PMO is awaited.
The venue has been finalised near the Velagapudi Secretariat where a vacant area of 250 acres is being levelled by deploying heavy earth vehicles to enable adequate security and deployment of vehicles by the VIPs. Works worth Rs65,000 crore out of the proposed projects to the tune of Rs1 lakh crore, will be kicked off on the occasion.
Chief Secretary K Vijayanand held several rounds of review meetings to make the Prime Minister's meeting a grand success after Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan invited Modi last month to relaunch the capital development project sometime this month after the works came to a standstill during the erstwhile YSRCP regime due to the controversial decision for trifurcation of the capital. The State Government has already rolled out a red carpet for the return of the Singapore Government in collaborating with the State for building the capital city after it walked out due to the decision to scrap the agreement by the YSRCP regime.
HUDCO has agreed to lend a loan of Rs.11,000 crore. The World Bank and the Asian Development Bank have signed agreements for giving soft loans to the tune of Rs.13,600 crore with the Central Government c coming forward to release its share.
The Centre recently released Rs4,285 crore upfront towards mobilisation advance after Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during presentation of last year's budget promised to facilitate financial support of Rs15,000 crore through multilateral institutions.
