On the third day of his official visit to Singapore, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met with Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Senior Minister and former Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in critical sectors.
🤝 Strengthening Andhra–Singapore Ties
During his high-level meeting with President Shanmugaratnam, Chief Minister Naidu underlined the need for deeper collaboration in areas such as:
- Knowledge economy
- Infrastructure development
- Semiconductor manufacturing
- Urban planning
- Renewable energy
Revival of Amaravati as a planned capital city
“This visit marks the beginning of a new era of strategic engagement between Andhra Pradesh and Singapore,” Mr. Naidu said. “We believe this will lead to long-term cooperation across several transformative domains.”

In a separate meeting with Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Mr. Naidu emphasized Andhra Pradesh’s reform-driven governance model and pro-investment policies, positioning the state as a key player in India–Singapore economic relations.
He expressed confidence that enhanced engagement would help unlock shared opportunities and catalyze development in Andhra Pradesh, especially in globally competitive sectors.
According to an official press release, both meetings are considered pivotal in laying the groundwork for international-standard development in the state and elevating bilateral relations with Singapore.
