Andhra Pradesh Cabinet to Meet Tomorrow to Discuss Key Policy Decisions
Focus on Visakhapatnam Investment Conference, district reorganisation, and cyclone relief measures
Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, is set to convene on Monday at 11 a.m. at the AP Secretariat to deliberate on several crucial issues shaping the state’s economic and administrative future.
A major agenda item is the Visakhapatnam Investment Conference, scheduled for November 14 and 15, which aims to attract global investors and major corporations to the state. The Chief Minister, who has personally overseen the planning, will review updates on the arrangements made by ministers and senior officials. The Cabinet is expected to approve investment proposals worth around ₹1 lakh crore during the meeting.
Another important topic will be the assessment of Cyclone Montha’s impact, which caused widespread damage across several districts. The Cabinet will discuss damage reports, relief measures, and possible compensation packages for affected regions.
In addition, the Cabinet is likely to review a ₹7,500 crore loan proposal from the CRDA NaBFID to support infrastructure and development projects.
The meeting will also take up district reorganisation plans, a key pre-poll promise made by the ruling coalition. The proposal follows recommendations submitted by the Cabinet Sub-Committee regarding the creation of new districts and revenue divisions.
The Cabinet is further expected to approve land allocations for various institutions, aimed at accelerating industrial, educational, and social development across Andhra Pradesh.
Decisions from tomorrow’s meeting are anticipated to have far-reaching implications for the state’s economic growth and governance structure.
