AMTZ kicks off hackathon to find solutions to healthcare challenges

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ)-Visakhapatnam has launched the MedTech Hackathon 2026, “Hack Health: Innovate to Heal,” bringing together startups, innovators, clinicians, and industry leaders to rapidly develop technology-driven solutions for pressing healthcare challenges.
Scheduled from April 4 to April 7, the hackathon opened to strong participation, with over 300 participants, including more than 150 startups and teams, from all over the country, reflecting the accelerating momentum of India’s medtech innovation ecosystem. Throughout the hackathon, the startups will be working closely within AMTZ’s advanced technical centers, translating ideas into scalable solutions with healthcare impact. The event will also provide opportunities for mentorship, networking, and access to potential investors and industry partners.
With the MedTech Hackathon 2026, AMTZ continues to reinforce its commitment toward fostering innovation, enabling collaboration, and positioning India as a global hub for medical technology development and manufacturing. “The Hackathon serves as a collaborative platform where innovators can learn, create, and make their ideas a reality in healthcare.” said Dr Jitendra Sharma, MD & Founder CEO of AMTZ.
