Vishakhapatnam: USAEB-5 Investor Visa Program Overview was held here on Wednesday by the New York Immigration Fund, a New York City-based Regional Centre by EB5ive Immigration Services and Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC). Several industry body representatives, such as IACC, Vizag Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Federation, FAPCCI, and others, participated.

The delegation is also expected to address the group of HNIs, trade body representatives, elite crowd of cities in Vijayawada and Hyderabad this week.

Addressing the occasion, Ilya Fishkin, Esq., Immigration Attorney, said that amidst the general confusion and anxiety surrounding immigration rules, given the long backlogs for Indian immigrants in various categories, EB-5 remains the fastest route to obtain an American Green Card.

However, the investor should carefully evaluate the regional centre and the projects as well as carefully examine the criteria such as the documented history, any lawsuits, failed projects, return of capital in past projects, and the dependence on EB-5 capital for completion of projects, approval of permanent green cards, among others.

With US President Donald Trump tightening visa regulations, an increasing number of Indians are turning to the American Government–sponsored “Invest in the US and Get a Green Card” scheme — officially known as the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program — as a reliable pathway to live their American dream.

The program is open to Indian citizens and other non-immigrants who are willing to invest and intend to permanently reside in the USA.

Speaking on the occasion, Subba Raju Pericherla and Sampann Malhotra, Partner, EB5ive Immigration Services, explained that securing permanent residency in the U.S. has become increasingly challenging for foreign nationals.
