Visakhapatnam: Minister for Energy Gottipati Ravi Kumar stated that the provision of compassionate appointments to 287 eligible candidates within just 18 months reflects the coalition government’s strong commitment to supporting bereaved families and employee welfare.

He said this is a significant step taken by the government to provide timely support and livelihood security to families of employees who lost their lives while discharging their duties.

The Energy Minister along with CMD APEPDCL Prudhvitej Immadi, reviewed works related to the power sector under the EPDCL jurisdiction at the EPDCL Training Center in Visakhapatnam.

The Minister distributed compassionate appointment letters to eligible beneficiaries at the APEPDCL Training Center in Visakhapatnam. Addressing the gathering, he reiterated that the coalition government is working with a humane approach and stands firmly with the families of deceased employees. Highlighting the reforms in the power sector, the Minister said that Hon’ble Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is the only leader who has introduced comprehensive reforms in the electricity sector, with a clear focus on efficiency, transparency, and consumer welfare. He stated that the government’s objective is to ensure electricity access for every citizen across the State.

The Minister said that the coalition government is lighting up habitations and tribal hamlets that previously had no access to electricity by promoting solar power solutions. He reiterated that providing electricity to every household, without placing an additional financial burden on consumers, remains a key objective of the government.
