According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a new low-pressure system has come up close to Thailand and has already crossed Myanmar and is now due to re-enter the Bay of Bengal on November 4. The system is likely to cause the rainfall and thunderstorms across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana that will be quite extensive in the next few days.

Though winter has begun, monsoon-like conditions persist across both states. The extended spell of rainfall is causing crop damage in several regions, adding to farmers’ woes.

🌊 Low-Pressure System To Re-enter Bay Of Bengal

The weather phenomenon that formed in the vicinity of Thailand has now passed through Myanmar and will come back over the Bay of Bengal by the 4th of November, subsequently heading toward Bangladesh. Furthermore, the experts have suggested the possibility of a new low-pressure region being established in the area of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the near future.

On the other hand, Cyclone Kalmaegi, which hit the Philippine Islands, is now heading toward Vietnam and has wind gusts reaching as much as 140 km/h, thereby making the already weather-active area more so.

☁️ IMD Forecast: Rain Likely From November 4–6

According to IMD, light to moderate rainfall is expected across Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra, and Yanam between November 4 and 6. While no official rainfall forecast was issued for November 3, live satellite data shows cloud activity building up over both states.

🌦️ Telangana Weather Outlook

On November 3, Telangana is expected to see partly cloudy skies in the morning, followed by widespread evening showers. After 4 PM, moderate rain may occur in Hyderabad, southern, and central Telangana, with lighter showers in the northern parts. Rainfall is likely to continue till around 10 PM.

🌧️ Andhra Pradesh Weather Outlook

In Andhra Pradesh, the day will begin with sunshine and scattered clouds. Rainfall is expected after 4 PM, mainly along the coastal regions, spreading inland by evening. Showers will likely be light to moderate, continuing till 11 PM, resulting in overcast conditions across much of the state.

Arabian Sea winds: ~25 km/h

Andhra Pradesh winds: ~15 km/h

Telangana winds: ~8 km/h

Bay of Bengal winds: ~30 km/h (towards the low-pressure zone)

System movement speed: ~41 km/h

Temperatures will hover around 30°C in Telangana and 32°C in Andhra Pradesh. Humidity levels will remain high, rising to over 90% at night, increasing the chance of evening and nighttime showers.

⛈️ Extended Rain Likely Till November 7

The IMD forecasts that the low-pressure zone will gain strength on November 5, the thick mists will drift in to the states of AP and Telangana. The rains will be there from around November 6, and the system could last more than November 7.

⚠️ Advisory For Farmers

Rainfall is anticipated to continue. Therefore, the farming community in AP and Telangana must remain vigilant and adopt measures to protect their crops against any further loss.
