Brent crude trading lower at $77.37/bbl
Crude oil prices increased by Rs18 to Rs6,185 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil was up by 0.31 per cent to $74.17 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.16 per cent higher at $79.36 per barrel in New York.
On MCX, crude oil for January delivery traded higher by Rs18 or 0.29 per cent at Rs6,185 per barrel in 13,550 lots. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
