TS govt, UNICEF India to set up Y-Hub in Hyd

Continuing the efforts to strengthen the innovation ecosystem in Hyderabad, Y-Hub – an exclusive innovation hub to foster innovation and entrepreneurial skills in youth and adolescents will be setup soon in Hyderabad, for which, a Statement of Intent (SoI) was signed and exchanged between Government of Telangana and YuWaah – India chapter of UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited.

HYDERABAD: Continuing the efforts to strengthen the innovation ecosystem in Hyderabad, Y-Hub – an exclusive innovation hub to foster innovation and entrepreneurial skills in youth and adolescents will be setup soon in Hyderabad, for which, a Statement of Intent (SoI) was signed and exchanged between Government of Telangana and YuWaah – India chapter of UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited.

Y-Hub is the India’s first youth and adolescent focused innovation centre to promote problem-solving, creativity and design thinking, 21st century skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship among young people in the State. The framework of Y-Hub was launched few months ago and the SoI was signed between the State government and YuWaah at BioAsia 2023. Telangana IT & Industries & Commerce Minister KT Rama Rao, Principal Secretary IT and I&C Jayesh Ranjan, State’s Chief Innovation Officer Dr Shanta Thoutam, UNICEF India Representative Cynthia McCaffrey and Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC) Education Lead Apoorva Bhasker Dasyam were present at the SoI exchange occasion.

KT Rama Rao said, "This is truly a historic moment for the youth and innovation ecosystem of Telangana.”
