Bengaluru: IT services major Tech Mahindra on Wednesday announced that it has launched a dedicated Google Cloud business unit to accelerate the adoption of cloud computingglobally.
The new business unit will focus on developing industry-specific solutions on Google Cloud to help customers' adoption of cloud services faster and seamless.
According to the company, the business unit with a Center of Excellence (COE) will provide a comprehensive suite of solutions on Google Cloud.

Tech Mahindra's Google Cloud dedicated business is a strategic step to further strengthen the strong partnership with Google Cloud which will bring together the teams across competencies and industries to enable digital transformation for customers," said Jagdish Mitra, Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Growth at Tech Mahindra.
Tech Mahindra is a Google Cloud Partner with over 1000 trained resources and has helped customers enable digital transformation leveraging Google Cloud with focus on IOT, AI/ML and digital workspaces, the company also said.
Indian IT services providers are betting big on the cloud services space with the top firms putting all the offerings of cloud under one roof.
Earlier, Wipro has committed $1 billion investment in cloud technologiesover the next three years and launched 'Wipro FullStride Cloud Services', that brings together the full portfolio of its cloud-related capabilities, offerings, and talent to better serve its clients. Similarly, TCS has launched the Business Ecosystem Integration Services (BEIS) suite, while Infosys has bundled all its cloud offerings under 'Infosys Cobalt' to help enterprises to accelerate their cloud journey.
Global consultancy firm Gartner has predicted that worldwide IT spending will reach $4.2 trillion in 2021, an increase of 8.6 per cent over last year. In 2020, spending was badly hit due to the pandemic and stood at 0.9 per cent.
