The Sensex today added 70.01 points reaching 80,288.38 which represents a 0.09% increase while the Nifty 50 advanced by 7.45 points to finish at 24,335.95 marking a 0.03% gain.

Asian Markets
Asian markets displayed mixed trading patterns on Wednesday before several critical economic data releases in the region. The Japanese Nikkei 225 index rose by 0.14 percent while the Topix index experienced a growth of 0.5 percent.

The Gift Nifty maintained the 24,451 level which was 25 points higher than the previous closing of Nifty futures and showed a slightly positive opening for Indian stock market indices.
Wall Street
US stock market finished on an uptick Tuesday after showing progress in US President Trump's tariff discussions.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 300.03 points reaching 0.75% to finish at 40,527.62 while the nasdaq composite index increased by 32.07 points which is 0.58% to settle at 5,560.82.
US-India Trade Talks
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced that the US and India are "very close" to reaching a trade agreement because negotiations with Delhi are progressing well due to existing high tariffs.
Dollar
According to Reuters that the dollar index that measures with the US dollar to other major currencies like the euro and yen increased 0.2 percent to 99.23 and the euro dropped 0.35 percent to $1.1381. The dollar increased 0.2 percent in relation to the Japanese yen to reach 142.32. Sterling weakened 0.27% to $1.3402.
US Treasury Yields
The US 10-year Treasury yield decreased for a sixth consecutive day reaching a low that hasn't been seen in three weeks because of economic data that failed to meet expectations. The yield decreased by 4.6 basis points to reach 4.17% from 4.216% at Monday's close.
