Suzlon Energy Shares Surge 13.5% as Q4 Net Profit Soars 4x; Chairman Hails Best Profitability in a Decade

Suzlon Energy Shares Surge 13.5% as Q4 Net Profit Soars 4x; Chairman Hails Best Profitability in a Decade

Shares of Suzlon Energy rallied sharply on Friday, May 30, after the company posted a four-fold increase in its consolidated net profit for the March quarter (Q4 FY25), driven by robust revenue growth.
In early trade on the NSE, Suzlon’s stock jumped 13.57%, reaching a high of ₹74.30.
Strong Q4 and Annual Performance
For Q4 FY25, Suzlon reported a consolidated net profit of ₹1,181 crore, up from ₹254 crore in the same quarter last year, as per its BSE filing. Total income for the quarter rose to ₹3,825.19 crore, compared to ₹2,207.43 crore a year ago.
On a full-year basis, the company’s consolidated net profit surged to ₹2,072 crore in FY25, from ₹660 crore in the previous fiscal. Total income also saw a substantial rise, hitting ₹10,993.13 crore against ₹6,567.51 crore in FY24.
Leadership Commentary
Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of the Suzlon Group, commented on the company’s stellar performance:
"FY25 marks a transformative year for Suzlon. We’ve achieved our highest profitability in a decade, bolstered by strong cash reserves and a record order book — all outcomes of disciplined transformation and operational excellence."
Tanti also noted India’s broader achievements in wind energy:
"Crossing the 50 GW milestone in installed wind power capacity is a national achievement, and Suzlon has been at the forefront of this journey. As we target 100 GW by 2030, India will play a pivotal role in shaping the global clean energy narrative."
Operational Milestones
Suzlon achieved record wind turbine deliveries of 1.55 GW in FY25, marking a 118% year-on-year increase.
The contribution margin in its wind turbine generator (WTG) segment improved by 360 basis points to reach 23%, supported by a manufacturing capacity of 4.5 GW. The company also expanded its capabilities by adding 10 new production lines for its flagship S144 – 3.X MW series.
The S144 turbine model has emerged as Suzlon’s best-selling product, accounting for over 1.25 GW in deliveries and now representing 91% of its firm order book. The company currently holds over 5 GW in confirmed orders, highlighting robust market demand for its high-performance, site-adaptive turbine technology.
