Indian stock markets will remain shut on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, for Ganesh Chaturthi. Both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will suspend trading and settlement across all segments — equities, derivatives, and securities lending and borrowing (SLB).

Commodity markets will follow a mixed schedule. The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will stay closed for the morning session (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) but will reopen for evening trading (5:00 PM to 11:55 PM, till 9:00 PM for select agri-commodities). In contrast, the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) will remain closed for the entire day.
