Despite a broader market sell-off, RDB Infrastructure and Power Ltd shares climbed over 4% on Tuesday after the company announced a new solar power partnership with NRG Renewable Resources. The stock rose to ₹56.00 per share on the BSE, outperforming benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty 50, which were both down by over 0.3%.
Solar Project MoU Triggers Rally
RDB Infrastructure has acknowledged that certain exchange platforms have been informed about the Memorandum of Understanding, dated November 10, 2025, with NRG Renewable Resources Pvt Ltd for the commercialization of solar power projects of 51 MW (AC) + 65 MW (DC), spread across six sites near Nagpur, Maharashtra.
The EPC contract is for₹277 crore in magnitude, with execution scheduled to start within seven days from receipt of the advance payment, according to the filing made by the company with the regulatory authorities.
Recently, the Company also amended the terms of its earlier MoU with Stargen Power Pvt Ltd, signed in September 2025, for solar projects totaling 52 MW (AC) and 65 MW (DC), with the contract value having been enhanced from ₹225 crores to ₹276 crores with the signing of the new addendum on November 8, 2025.
Execution Timeline
The projects are expected to be completed within one year from the commissioning of all sites, with a possible extension based on mutual agreement.
