The Indian benchmark indices reported heightened volatility in the early trading session today, May 7 after Indian Armed Forces conducted ‘Operation Sindoor’ by striking terrorist infrastructure across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
As of 11:58 am, Sensex is trading at 80,559.80, down 0.10%, while Nifty is up by 0.093% at 24,356.95. Pakistan’s benchmark indices opened with a drop of 5.78% on reports of multiple airstrikes across the country.
Shares of Tata Motors, Power Grid Corporation of India, Titan and Mahindra and Mahindra emerged among the top gainers on the NSE, while Asian Paints, Sun Pharma and Nestle are trading in red.
Meanwhile, Indian rupee fell by 31 paise 84.66 against the greenback in the early trade.
