Sensex Above 80,300, Nifty Soars up 0.0058%; Maruti Suzuki , HDFC Life, Jio Financials Among Major Gainers

The Indian benchmark indices are trading marginally higher today, April 30. As of 2:43 pm, Sensex is currently trading at 80,347.80, up 0.074%, while Nifty is trading up by 0.0058% at 24,337.35.
Shares of Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Trent, Tata Motors and SBI emerged among the top losers on the Nifty, while Maruti Suzuki , HDFC Life, Jio Financials, Power Grid Corp, SBI Life Insurance are top gainers. The Realty index soared up by 3%. Meanwhile, media and PSU Bank slumped by 1%.
India VIX rose to a two-week high of 18.26%. Indian oil corporation reported a net profit of ₹7,265 crore in Q4, against ₹2,874 crore. Vedanta posted a net profit of ₹3480 crore in Q4FY25 against ₹1369 crore on a YoY basis.
Notably, the Indian rupee appreciated against the greenback, rising 0.8% 84.6 a dollar, the highest this year.
