Muthoot Finance shares fell by 5% today despite reporting strong earnings in the March quarter (Q4FY25). The fall came amid poor sentiment in the equities market.
During Q4FY35, the Kerala-headquartered firm posted a net profit of ₹1.22 lakh crore, up 37% YoY, while AUM jumped 41% to ₹1.06 lakh crore. Gold loan portfolio emerged as the key driver in the company’s growth. Gold loan AUM clocked all-time-high of ₹1,02,956 crore, up 41% YoY.
Notably, the stock is up 34% on a yearly basis. However, it has corrected in recent months, declining 1% in May, followed by a 9% decline in April. The scrip had a 12% rally in March, 5.5% decline in February, and a 5.7% surge in January.
