Indian equity markets saw a robust performance last week, with nine out of the ten most valued companies adding a combined ₹2.34 lakh crore to their market capitalisation. This surge came alongside a strong 1,650-point rally in the benchmark BSE Sensex, reflecting renewed investor optimism.

Reliance Industries emerged as the biggest gainer, with its market valuation rising by ₹69,556.91 crore to ₹20.51 lakh crore. Bharti Airtel followed closely, adding over ₹51,000 crore, while HDFC Bank's valuation increased by more than ₹37,000 crore. Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, LIC, SBI, TCS, and Hindustan Unilever also saw varying degrees of gains, contributing to the overall positive momentum in the market.

TCS posted a modest rise, while Hindustan Unilever recorded only a marginal increase in its m-cap. On the other hand, Infosys was the lone decliner in this group, witnessing a drop of ₹5,494.8 crore in market value, ending the week at ₹6.68 lakh crore.

Despite the minor setback for Infosys, Reliance retained its position as India's most valued company, followed by HDFC Bank, TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, SBI, Infosys, LIC, Bajaj Finance, and Hindustan Unilever. The overall gains underscore strong market sentiment and investor confidence in India’s corporate giants.
