13 October 2025: The Indian stock markets ended on a quiet note on Monday, with key indices closing in the red. The Sensex dropped by 174 points to settle at 82,327.05 (-0.21%), while Nifty 50 closed at 25,227.35 (-0.23%). Nifty Bank, on the contrary, closed marginally down by 0.03% at 56,625.
Top Gainers
Led by Adani Ports and Bharti Airtel, sectoral performance was a big supporter.
Axis Bank and Bajaj Finance fared well on the Sensex 30.
Top Losers
Tata Motors kept sliding by 2% ahead of its passenger and commercial vehicle demerger to take effect on October 14.
The indices ceased their plunge due to Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, and Bharat Electronics.
