Commodities Market Updates | Zinc futures rise on high demand
Zinc prices on Friday rose 55 paise at Rs 315.65 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
At the Multi-commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for the January delivery were up by Rs 55 paise or 0.17% to Rs 315.65 per kilogram with a business turnover of 812 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants following a pickup in the demand from the consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
