SCCL output up 33% in Feb

Hyderabad: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) is proceeding with significant growth at the end of February as compared to the same period last year in this financial year.
The company produced 4.42 crore tonne of coal in February last year, up 33 per cent from 5.86 crore tonne in the year-ago period. It had shipped 4.25 crore tonne of coal as on February last year, has shipped 5.95 crore tonne of coal this year, with an increase of 40 per cent.
It also removed 3.46 crore cubic meters of overburden extraction, an increase of 20 per cent over the 2.88 crore cubic meters OB achieved last year.
With another month to go before the end of this financial year, all areas are competing in coal production and transportation.
