Nestle India profit drops 6.5% to `873 cr

New Delhi: Nestle India Ltd on Thursday reported 6.5 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs873.46 crore for March quarter FY25 as the FMCG industry faced food inflation and moderation in urban consumption. The company posted a profit of Rs934.17 crore for the January-March period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing from Nestle India. Revenue from the sale of products was up at Rs5,447.64 crore in the quarter as against Rs5,254.43 crore a year ago. "Total sales and domestic sales for the quarter increased 3.7 per cent and 4.2 per cent, respectively. Domestic sales growth was broad-based. Domestic sales crossed Rs5,235 crore, the highest ever, surpassing that of January–March 2024 quarter," said Nestle India, which owns popular brands as Maggi, Nescafe and Kit Kat.

ACC profit declines 20.4% to `751 cr

New Delhi: Cement maker ACC Ltd on Wednesday reported a 20.4 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs751.04 crore during the March quarter. The company had posted a profit of Rs943.39 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing from ACC, which is now a part of Adani Cement. Its revenue from operations was at Rs5,207.3 crore, up 12.7 per cent in the March quarter. It was at Rs5,316.75 crore in the corresponding period a year ago. ACC's total expenses in the March quarter were at Rs5,514,82 crore, up 13.11 per cent. During the March quarter, ACC’s revenue from the cement business was at Rs5,685.53 crore, up 11.14 per cent.

Persistent Systems net profit up 25.5%

New Delhi: IT company Persistent Systems on Thursday posted a 25.5 per cent increase in consolidated profit after tax to Rs395.7 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2025 on account of higher margin. The company had posted a profit after tax of Rs315.3 crore in the same period a year ago, Persistent Systems said in a regulatory filing. Persistent Systems reported the highest quarterly earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) at 15.6 per cent in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal.

Kaspersky logs strong growth in India

Singapore: Global cybersecurity firm Kaspersky has recorded a very strong double-digit growth in India in 2024, according to Kaspersky APAC MD Adrian Hia. Speaking at GITEX Asia 2025, Hia said India is a key growth market for Kaspersky, alongside Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, and China. "The company has invested a lot in APAC... in most of the Southeast Asian countries and also in India, we have increased our capabilities by coverage, by support, by in-house researchers, in-house analysts, making sure that we can provide you the best.
