Nestle Shares Down Over 3%

New Delhi: Shares of FMCG major Nestle India Ltd on Thursday fell by over three per cent after the firm reported a decline of 0.94 per cent in net profit for the September 2024 quarter.

The company’s stock went lower by 3.35 per cent to close at Rs2,379.70 apiece on the BSE. During the day, it dropped 3.95 per cent to Rs2,364.80. It was the biggest laggard among the BSE Sensex firms. On the NSE, it slipped 3.43 per cent to Rs2,377.65. The company’s market valuation plummeted Rs7,959.11 crore to Rs2,29,440.48 crore. Nestle India Ltd on Thursday reported a marginal decline of 0.94 per cent in net profit at Rs899.49 crore for the quarter that ended September 2024, in which the firm faced high commodity prices and some of its key brands faced softer consumer demand.
