Japan Consul General visits Vizag Port

Visakhapatnam: JAPAN Consul General Taga Masayuki has visited Visakhapatnam Port Trust to find out its existing facilities and plans for further modernisation.

Visakhapatnam Port Trust Chairman K Rama Mohana Rao accorded a warm welcome to Masayuki and explained to him on the port's vision through a PowerPoint presentation.

He briefed the Japanese team of the Infrastructure facilities available, capacities in handling of cargo, modernisation and mechanisation, covered storage facilities, solar power and sewage treatment plant for internal and industrial purpose, investment potential and zone of opportunities in exploring imports and export improvements at Visakhapatnam Port.

Heads of the departments, senior officers of VPT and others were present.
