Jagan opens Mega Industrial Hub, EMC in Kadapa district

The YSR Jagananna Mega Industrial Hub and Electronic Manufacturing Cluster developed at Kopparthi in Kadapa were declared open by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday.

Kadapa: The YSR Jagananna Mega Industrial Hub and Electronic Manufacturing Cluster developed at Kopparthi in Kadapa were declared open by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday.

The government is also batting for a textile park in the vicinity for which it has sought the consideration from the Centre. The State has developed the hub in an area of 3,155 acres. The government expects that the hub will contribute significantly to the State's plan to achieve an export turnover of $33.7 billion by 2030.

The Chief Minister visited the hub and inaugurated an arch and took part in functions organised in connection with handing over of sites and inauguration of facilities.

EMC has already attracted several units. Amenities such as ready-to-occupy sheds and plots, electricity and roads are ready. Several electronics manufacturing companies, solar companies, MSMEs and industrial associations exuded the hope that it is going to be a mega hit during the Chief Minister's visit. Major investments in the electronics sector include United Telelinks Neolyncs India Pvt Ltd (UNTPL)'s will soon be rolling out mobile phones, chargers and other components, from its factory at the EMC with an investment of over Rs.112 crore.AIL Dixon Technologies will manufacture security surveillance systems, digital video recorders, laptops and tablets with a total investment of Rs.207 crore, generating employment opportunities to about 3,000 people.

Celkon Resolute Electronics LLP has committed to invest Rs.50 crore to employ over 1,100 people. It will manufacture and churn out products such as smartphones, mobile handsets, tablets, PC accessories, setup boxes and GPON devices.
