Investors’ wealth rises Rs8.55trn this week

The combined market value of all BSE-listed companies surged by Rs2.76 lakh crore on Friday. With this, an overall increase of market capitalisation (mcap) on BSE surged by Rs8.55 lakh crore for the week, reaching Rs357.87 lakh crore. Equity investors became richer by Rs8.11 lakh crore in three days of market rally that saw the benchmark Sensex breaching the 71,000-mark for the first time on Friday.
