New Delhi: Aviation watchdog DGCA has asked crisis-hit Go First to submit a comprehensive plan for the revival of its operations, a source said on Thursday. The budget carrier, which is undergoing a voluntary insolvency resolution process, stopped flying on May 3. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) advised the airline on May 24 to submit within a period of 30 days a comprehensive restructuring plan for a sustainable revival of operations, the source at the regulator said. Further, the watchdog has asked the airline to furnish the status of availability of operational aircraft, pilots and other personnel, maintenance arrangements and funding, among other details, the source added. The source said the revival plan, once submitted by Go First, will be reviewed by DGCA for further appropriate action.

Harsh Jain is new IAMAI Chairman

New Delhi: The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) on Thursday announced that Harsh Jain, Co-founder and CEO of Dream Sports has been elected the Chairman of the industry body, following governing council election. Jain replaces Sanjay Gupta, Vice President and Country Manager, Google India, IAMAI said in a statement. "Harsh Jain to be IAMAI Chairman from 2023-2025," according to the statement. The new 24-member Governing Council and the new Executive Council of the IAMAI will take charge from the present councils at the upcoming Annual General Meeting, it said. Rajesh Magow, Co-Founder and Group CEO, MakeMyTrip, and Satyan Ganjwani, Vice Chairman, Times Internet, have been elected the Vice Chairman and the Treasurer of the association replacing Shivnath Thukral and Harshil Mathur respectively.

NIIT forms new subsidiary

New Delhi: In line with the reorganisation plan outlined by it, the Board of NIIT Ltd has announced that the Corporate Learning Business undertaking has been transferred to NIIT Learning Systems Ltd (NLSL) with composite scheme of arrangement becoming effective as on May 24, 2023. NIIT Ltd will continue to focus on and operate the Skills and Careers business, while NLSL would operate the Corporate Learning Business, according to a statement. NIIT Ltd has completed demerger of Corporate Learning Business into NIIT Learning Systems Ltd, the statement said, adding that the demerger recognises the distinct market dynamics, customer segments, product offerings, and growth trajectories of each business.

EOGEPL partners Sensia

New Delhi: Essar Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Ltd (EOGEPL), India's leading pioneering unconventional hydrocarbon player, on Thursday announced its collaboration with Sensia for the digitalisation of oil and gas field operations to enhance operational efficiencies."This strategic partnership aims to unify measurement systems, optimise decision-making and enable remote control of critical parameters across EOGEPL's wells, facilities and customer interface," it said in a statement. EOGEPL, which produces gas from coal seams (called coal-bed methane), will deploy Sensia's Avalon digital platform interface. "Sensia's Avalon platform offers a comprehensive interface that simplifies the capture, analysis and digitisation of well-related activities, facility-related activities and customer end operations," it said.
