Visakhapatnam: Gangavaram Port Limited (GPL) as part of its CSR activity has provided support to Prajwal Vani Welfare Society, Akkayyapalem in Visakhapatnam and Government Polytechnic College in Pendurthi.
Prajwal Vani Welfare Society works towards imparting technical education to the disabled and conducts courses like computer learning, networking and hardware.
The port supplied computers, furniture and lab equipment to institutions with an objective to help impart quality education to the students and create better facilities for their overall development. The equipment and the lab at Prajwal Vani Society and the Government Polytechnic College have been fully commissioned and are being utilised for the benefit of their students. The labs will help foster digital dexterity and provide state-of-the-art infrastructure.
The program was attended by GJ Rao, executive director and G Sambasiva Rao, CEO of GPL, Gangavaram Port along with key staff members of the school and college.
