Brent crude trading lower at $89.77/bbl
Crude oil prices rose Rs5 to Rs 5,680 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil was down by 0.59 per cent at $68.75 per barrel, while Brent crude traded 0.32 per cent lower at $73.61 per barrel in New York.
On MCX, crude oil for July delivery traded higher by Rs 5 or 0.09 per cent at Rs 5,680 per barrel in 16,885 lots. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
