AP stall at Expo Dubai to showcase investment opportunities

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh is all set to hard-sell the investment potential as well as opportunities for joint ventures in multiple fields at the Expo Dubai 2020.

A high-power delegation led by Industry and Commerce Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy will take part in the expo to showcase the investment potential by highlighting the policy incentives being offered by the Andhra Pradesh government.

As part of its efforts to collaborate with the best corporations in the world and develop the State as the top destination for investments, the Government of Andhra Pradesh is set to showcase its business-friendly policies, excellent infrastructure and growth opportunities to global investors during the state's participation at the India Pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai during February 11-17.

"We are pretty excited about the prospects of the outcome," an official participating in the expo told Bizz Buzz on Thursday.

The State will showcase the rapid strides being made by Andhra Pradesh in attracting investments in manufacturing, development of ports, multi-modal logistic parks, industrial corridors including Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor, industrial parks, fishing harbours along with developing education, medical, tourism sectors amongst others.

The State floor at India Pavilion will be inaugurated by Goutham Reddy in the presence of Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr. Ahmed Albanna, UAE Ambassador to India and Sunjay Sudhir, India Ambassador to UAE and Zulfi Ravdjee, Advisor to Andhra Pradesh Government, Special Representative to Government for Middle East & Far East Countries along with the senior government officials from AP Economic Development Board will attend.

Post-inauguration ceremony, a special cultural programme will be organised by the Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRTS) to showcase the time-less culture and legacy of the State at the Amphi Theatre at India Pavilion. During the presence of the State delegation at the expo, the delegation led by Goutham Reddy will attend various business meetings in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to discuss potential collaborations with top corporations in the UAE and present opportunities, in various sectors, in the State.

The delegation will also meet various industry associations and conduct bilateral meetings to strengthen the trade relations with the UAE, according to a press release. AP Week at India Pavilion will conclude on February 17.
