Visakhapatnam Two-day Global Investors' Summit (GIS) to showcase investment potential in Andhra Pradesh began here with fanfare with an impressive laser show on Friday on the sprawling Andhra University Engineering College Grounds.

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated it in the presence of several doyens of industry. Mukesh Ambani was the star attraction. He said AP is committed to propel growth in 14 identified focus areas to boost economy and create employment opportunities to youth.

GIS will serve as a platform for investors to connect, collaborate and explore investment opportunities in AndhraPradesh, said K.S. Jawahar Reddy, Chief Secretary, AP.

IT, Industries and Commerce Minister Gudivada Amarnath said: “Today AP is rapidly growing across all sectors under the leadership of CM Jagan’s governance and inclusive development model. AP government offers the Stability and confidence for the business. AP offers an opportunities to across the globe. State is always known to technological expertise. AP's infra helped to develop the sectors. So explore the opportunities in the State.”

Port-led infrastructure, MSME, green energy, food processing and tourism are some of the priority sectors, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath said.

Buggana said: "The dream is not only to reestablish AP as the industrial hub of the India but also as a global hub for various sectors.

He said “we have close proximity to Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. We are very progressive State. We have stable government and dynamic leadership of CM Jagan. We have a beautiful city like Vizag. AP has moved in EoDB with continuously topping thrice."
