Amazon Fresh enters Warangal

Hyderabad: Amazon India, an online marketplace on Monday, announced the expansion of Amazon Fresh, its grocery service, to Warangal. The selection of these products and pricing is offered by sellers on the platform.

The Amazon Fresh app-in-app has a selection of over 4,000 grocery products including fruits, vegetables, chilled products, beauty, baby, personal care, and pet products among other daily grocery needs. Amazon India said it enforces sorting, grading and packing for the items located at the distribution centres closer to the customers. These distribution centres operate with separate temperature zones to maintain the quality of produce. Srikant Sree Ram, Head, Amazon Fresh said, "Amazon Fresh is a one stop online destination that offers customers with selection, value, and convenience. With this launch, customers in Warangal will be able to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables delivered at their doorstep."

In the process of enabling local farmers across the region Amazon Fresh sources produce directly from the farmers, Sree Ram said.
