Visakhapatnam Amazon Great Indian Festival (GIF) has evoked a big response mainly from the youth and tier-II cities and towns for buying electronic gadgets like high-end business and gaming laptops, 5G smartphones, headphones and smartwatches due to availability of wide variety products to the nook and corners with hefty discounts and special offers on payment by certain banks and easy payment option of EMI mode.
Amazon India on Friday said Visakhapatnam along with Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Chittoor, Tirupati and other cities have seen a quantum jump in sale of electronic appliances and cameras during the GIF which began on September 23. Amazon.in has seen a double digit great YOY of customers upgrading their electronic devices during the festival season.
Akshay Ahuja, Director, Amazon India-Customer Electronics, Personal Computing & Large Appliances, highlighting this year's trends, told the media that customers from AP have shown interest in shopping for technology products. "We will sustain the momentum in our month-long Great Indian Festival and help sellers, brands and customers find celebrations as we head into the heart of the festival period."
He said the customers are preferring shopping for premium technology products like laptops, tablets, wearables, truly wireless earphones, wired and wireless speakers, bluetooth speakers and soundbars on Amazon.in in Visakhapatnam and other parts of AP.
Brands preferred by customers include Apple, HP, Lenovo, Dell, MSI, Acer, ASUS, Xiaomi and Honour for laptops. Audiophiles love to shop from brands like BoAt, Sony, Zebronics and Boult audio. Apple, Redmi, Samsung, OnePlus, Realme and iQOO are preferred brands when buying smartphones, Ahuja informed.
He said the festival offers over 2,000 new product launches and a wide selection from top brands and will have early access for Prime members. He said customers can enjoy 'never seen before' deals from lakhs of Small Medium Business and local stores. He said product awareness is also being created by facilitating direct interaction with domain experts.
