Adani Group Stocks Hog Limelight

New Delhi: All listed Adani group stocks ended sharply higher on Monday amid reports that Gautam Adani’s representatives met with US administration officials to seek the dismissal of criminal charges in a bribery probe.

The stock of Adani Total Gas zoomed 11.01 per cent, Adani Enterprises jumped 6.96 per cent, Adani Green Energy rallied 6.61 per cent, Adani Ports surged 6.29 per cent and Adani Power climbed 5.96 per cent on the BSE. Shares of NDTV advanced 4.74 per cent, Adani Energy went up by 3.30 per cent, AWL Agri Business Ltd (1.99 per cent), Ambuja Cements (1.76 per cent), ACC (1.04 per cent) and Sanghi Industries (0.72 per cent).

The combined market valuation of all Adani group firms surged by Rs13.33 lakh crore. During the intra-day trade, Adani Total Gas jumped 14.12 per cent, while Adani Power surged 11.31 per cent. In the equity market, the 30-share BSE benchmark climbed 294.85 points or 0.37 per cent to settle at 80,796.84, extending its previous day’s rally.
