Zinc futures rise on high demand

New Delhi: Zinc prices rose Rs 3.45 to Rs 299.05 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. Zinc contracts for November delivery traded 1.17 per cent higher in a business turnover of 1,375 lots. The widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in de-mand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices rose Rs 1.20 to Rs 268.65 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in No-vember increased 0.45 per cent in 2,096 lots.
Copper futures gain on higher spot demand
Copper futures rose 0.91 per cent to Rs 989.85 per kilogram due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for November delivery grew Rs 8.95 in a business turnover of 4,128 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
